| Stroller-cise
Stroller-cise instructor Jeremy Seymour may act like your typical boot camp instructor but these aren't you're average recruits. "The heavier the baby the more workout you get," Seymour said. Seymour leads Stroller-cise, a body boot camp for mom and baby. "We do everything from crunches to sit ups, we do running, we do jogging, we do sprints, we do leg lifts, " Seymour said. It's a workout that incorporates almost every part of the body. "The strollers, we use them to do stretches on. We use them when we do lunges, also we use the babies. We take the babies in front of us and we do squats with the babies. We do raises with the babies," Seymour said. Push-ups are little more rewarding when you get a kiss. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists says it's okay for a new mother to exercise six weeks after giving birth, but they also say it's important to start slow.

Stroller Weights (and an assortment of other accessories)
Stroller or "Buggy" weights might seem like old hat to our European readers, but where are they in the US? I perused many a US website for these innovative, simple devises, and... nothing. The New York Times publicized them in 1999. Our friend, Daddytypes, reviewed them in 2005, but the place he said sold them no longer does. I can accessorize with a strollometer (just what it sounds like) and even stroller skies (Hope they're not for downhill!!!!), but where are my weights? I mean, this seems like a no-brainer to me, because every time I take my son out of our umbrella stroller, it tips over. (Ok, I'm not dense, I have learned to take the diaper bag off it first, but it's a pain! I want to keep it stored there.) According to the New York Times tests, the weights counter balanced "a fully loaded diaper bag, three Barney videos, a wool sweater and two large bottles of San Pellegrino." Sounds great! UK parents are loving them, but, again, where are they in the US? Hey, US retailers, I repeat, where are they?! (For now, US readers, try these few UK sites in addition to the link above: Great Little Trading Co., or BabyGear.) .
Attendant says parents winging it with lap babies
Dear Amy: I have been a flight attendant for more than 25 years. I would like to talk about "lap" babies. A lap baby can travel with an adult, without a purchased ticket, up to 2 years of age. Parents board with their toddlers, expecting accommodations -- i.e. a free seat made available for their child's use. But unused seats are rare these days. It's one thing when the family is sitting together, but often they are next to passengers who have paid full price for their ticket, only to be forced to share the limited space next to a squirmy child who weighs 30 pounds. .
Art, Naturally: Sculptures vie for glory on tropical turf
The red alien-like figures in Garden Glass look like hikers climbing up a tropical trail along a stream. Potted plants -- in real life as in this work of art, Endangered Species -- are seated in strollers, a high chair and a crib spread out on a lush lawn. A wooden boat laden with brilliant glass sculptures in red, yellow and blue, Carnival Boat, floats on a lake surrounded by palms, ever the metaphor for South Florida. At a time when more and more works of art are being showcased outside the confines of galleries and museums, the wonderwork of Chihuly at Fairchild, in its second-year run at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Coral Gables -- and the new sculpture garden installations of the Art & Flowers program -- stand as a tribute to the marriage of art and nature.
