At an average of about 2 feet tall, the miniature club kids perched on snakeskin barstools at the Revolution Rock Bar could barely reach their juice boxes. The Revolution Rock, typically frequented by an after-work crowd of full-grown singles, was transformed for a few daytime hours on Sunday into a romper room for cooped-up parents and their crazy-legged toddlers. With bubble machines, hula hoops, and classic soul and disco tracks pumping over the sound system at 110 beats a minute, it was a Studio 54 for kids still learning to count to five. The event was the Boston kickoff of Baby Loves Disco , a fast-growing national network of monthly outings that sanitize the nightclub setting for the day-care crowd.
MPC OKs application for Allendale grocery
The Shreveport Metropolitan Planning Commission has approved an application to rezone an area in the Allendale neighborhood for a proposed grocery.
The application from Claude Marshall, who owns the site at 1901 Alston St., had asked for the multifamily residential area to be rezoned to a neighborhood business district.

Chung: For those who are consumed with squirrel furor
Three weeks into Mountain View's squirrel-trapping program, an emotional online debate is still raging about man's inhumanity to animal, . . . and nary a squirrel has even been caught, let alone um, disposed of. Mountain View's community services director, David Muela, has been trying to assure the public the animals will be caught live, not crushed, and then euthanized humanely. Can we all get a grip now? This began last spring, when toddlers in Cuesta Park started getting attacked by squirrels raiding strollers, taking food out of small hands and scratching them in the process. After the last attack, the city decided that squirrel-proof trash cans, public education and ``no-food'' zones were not enough. ``It's about time they did something,'' said Sunnyvale resident Harry Boos, still shaking his head.
